Good to know
Is June a good time to visit Nepal?
The monsoon usually reaches Nepal in the second week of June. Cloud hides the mountains for days at a time, leeches appear on forest trails, and landslides close hill roads, especially the Prithvi Highway. Some Chitwan lodges begin to close for the season. Mustang is the exception: protected by the Annapurnas, it stays mostly dry, and the Jomsom flights run when the morning cloud allows. We suggest it, or another destination, for June.
