Light, access and patience
Photography trips run on a different clock: early starts, a slow middle of the day and a long evening. We plan the route around light and leave time to return to a place twice.
Some sites ban tripods or drones or charge camera fees. Drone use in India and Nepal needs permits and is banned near many monuments: check current status before you travel.
