Marasa Sarovar Premiere Bodhgaya

Marasa Sarovar Premiere is one of the newer hotels in Bodh Gaya, run by the Sarovar group. Its rooms are spacious and modern, with good bathrooms and quiet heating in winter, and the hotel has a pool, restaurants and gardens. It is a short drive from the Mahabodhi Temple.
Bodh Gaya does not have palace hotels or international luxury brands, and we say so plainly. What Marasa Sarovar Premiere offers is a clean, calm and well-run base for dawn and evening visits to the temple, with staff used to international pilgrims. In December and January it fills early.
Why we book it
- Modern, spacious rooms
- A short drive from the Mahabodhi Temple
- Reliable service for international guests
Questions travellers ask
Good to know
How far is Marasa Sarovar Premiere from the Mahabodhi Temple?
A short drive of a few minutes. We arrange a car for dawn and evening visits, as the last stretch to the temple can be crowded. The location is quieter than the hotels immediately around the temple, which helps sleep.
Is there a luxury hotel in Bodh Gaya?
Bodh Gaya has comfortable, modern hotels rather than true luxury properties. Marasa Sarovar Premiere is our usual choice, and The Royal Residency is another reliable option. Rooms are clean and service is good, but expect simpler standards than the palace hotels of Agra or Varanasi.
When should I book a hotel in Bodh Gaya?
Book as early as possible for December and January, when Buddhist teaching gatherings and pilgrim groups fill the town. October, November and February are easier. Buddha Purnima, in April or May, can also bring heavy demand. Check current status before you travel.
