August remains wet, with longer dry breaks as the month goes on. Divar holds Bonderam, a flag festival, usually on the fourth Saturday. The Western Ghat waterfalls are at full volume, though forest jeep tracks to Dudhsagar are normally closed. Monsoon rates still apply at most resorts.
