February is still dry and settled, a little warmer in the afternoons. Carnival usually falls in February, four days of floats, brass bands and street parties in Panjim, Margao, Mapusa and Vasco before Lent. Birding in the mangroves and the Western Ghat forests is still good, and turtle hatchlings emerge at Morjim, Agonda and Galgibaga.

Panjim 21–32 °C, dry, sunny. Conditions differ by altitude and coast, so check the forecast for each stop a week before you travel.
Where should we go in Goa in February?
We suggest Panjim and Fontainhas, Divar and Chorao islands, Morjim, Ashvem and Mandrem. If Carnival dates matter to you, book Panjim rooms four months ahead.
