Questions travellers ask
Good to know
Is November a good time to visit Nepal?
November keeps October's clear skies with fewer crowds and colder nights. It is the best month for Everest views, with long visibility and stable weather for helicopters and mountain flights. Tihar often falls in early November, and Mani Rimdu brings masked dances to Tengboche Monastery around the same time. Chitwan is cool and green, with good rhino sightings. Nights at Dhulikhel and Nagarkot are crisp, with the full Himalayan line on show.
What is the weather like in Nepal in November?
Kathmandu 7–23 °C, dry, clear. Conditions differ by altitude and coast, so check the forecast for each stop a week before you travel.
Where should we go in Nepal in November?
We suggest Everest Region (Khumbu), Chitwan, Dhulikhel. Pack layers: a Kathmandu afternoon can reach 23 °C and a Namche night drop below freezing.
