W Goa

W Goa spreads over a slope between Vagator beach and the hill crowned by Chapora Fort, with rooms and villas set around lagoon-style pools and lawns that end at the rocks. The design is playful and bold, with colour, music and an outdoor bar that fills at sunset. It is the most social of the luxury resorts we use in Goa.
Its position is the reason to stay. Chapora Fort is a short walk up the hill, Anjuna's Wednesday market is 10 minutes away, and the restaurants and villa lanes of Assagao are within 15 minutes. It suits couples and groups of friends, less so families wanting quiet, and those looking for silence should look south.
Why we book it
- Set below Chapora Fort with direct views over Vagator beach
- Ten to fifteen minutes from Assagao and Anjuna
- The liveliest luxury address in north Goa

Good to know
Is W Goa a quiet resort?
No, it is one of the livelier luxury resorts in Goa, with music at the pool and bar and DJ evenings in season. Rooms are well insulated and the villas are quieter, but guests wanting silence are happier at Ahilya by the Sea or in the south.

Vagator has rocky sections and currents, and swimming is safest only in the flagged areas in season, from October to May. Most W Goa guests swim in the resort pools and walk on the beach. In the monsoon, sea swimming is not safe anywhere in Goa.
How far is W Goa from Mopa airport?
Manohar International Airport at Mopa (GOX) is about 30 km away, roughly 45 minutes by car. Dabolim Airport (GOI) is about 50 km, around 1 h 15 min, depending on traffic through Porvorim and Mapusa.
