Is April a good time to visit Nepal?
April brings the rhododendron forests to full colour around Ghorepani and Poon Hill, and the Everest trails are at their busiest. Bisket Jatra in Bhaktapur marks the Nepali New Year in mid-April with chariot pulling in Taumadhi Square. The Terai heats up fast, so wildlife drives keep to early morning and late afternoon. Buddha Jayanti sometimes falls at the end of the month, depending on the lunar calendar.
